We are awelcoming, growing congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). We've been opening our doors to families in the Ridgefield area, serving needs within our community & joyfully sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ since 1963.
But many of the most active members of our community of faith were visitors less than 5 years ago - like you, checking out websites … stopping by churches that seemed promising ... and looking for a vibrant, friendly community of faith that met our spiritual needs.
We remember how intimidating, confusing and even frustrating the whole process can be. How can you really size up a church based on its website - at least enough to know whether a Sunday-morning visit makes sense? What do they believe there? What do they wear to worship services? And what questions can I ask without sounding foolish or irreverent?
Well that last one's easy: At St. Andrew’s, there are no stupid questions; we welcome them all, and promise to answer them as honestly and thoroughly as we can. We'll admit it when we're not sure about something, and we're fine with sometimes agreeing to disagree. We value bringing your questions (and ours) to the study of Scripture. After all, we believe Jesus Christ died to take away our sins ... not our minds.
We want to make it easy, pleasant and fun for you to give St. Andrew’s a closer look. We'll help you find out more about:
