Growing In Faith
Spiritual development is an important component of life at St. Andrew's. Prayer and scripture reading are central to all aspects of our work together. Through special worship resources and Bible study opportunities throughout the church, each member is encouraged to grow in their spiritual lives.
We also have an active Prayer Chain group, who pray daily for the specific requests of our membership.
The ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) has a web site devoted to Faith Practices full of great stories and resources. As Lutherans, we don’t just practice our faith, we live it. Each new day presents a new opportunity to deepen our relationship with God. Through our worship services, education at every level and ministries of all kinds, we live our lives with meaning and purpose. Experience how we as ELCA members are growing in faith.
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America has made a commitment to encourage all members of our congregations, from children to adults, to dig deeper into our book of faith, the Bible. The Book of Faith Initiative recommends a new model for our church—a grass-roots approach embracing a common vision in which all are invited to open scripture and join the conversation.
